In the Room
Location is superb lovely views over cliffs and sea. Easy access to Whitby and other places of interest. Staff were very friendly and helpful and rooms good size and very comfortable would definitely recommend this hotel.
Evening meals seemed overpriced, a small menu of two or three course dinner or half board option for residents would have been appreciated.
Breakfast in our room - the views were fantastic. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was hot, tasty and well presented
Room allocated was very small, however the fantastic view of the Bay made up for it.
This was a return visit after three years away and we will certainly not leave it so longbefore we stay again. The Cliffemount Hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views and we relaxed instantly on arrival. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the bed was so comfortable and the food was delicious.
We could hear people in the adjoining and above rooms.
good rooms clean and very friendly meals and service excellent location unbeatable
the view was lovelly really friendly staff
the towerls were stained. the tea and milk was not replaced. we had a bottle of water i think this shud av been 2 bottles and the put the water near the radiator so it was warm. an my bill is wrong ad someone elses charge on
Limited menu plus over priced. Decor in bar area too modern and seats not comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre for price paid. The executive room we paid for did not give the best sea views
The view across the bay was lovely, the staff very friendly and the breakfast excellent
We had a very nice room that was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a great location overlooking the scenic bay.
The friendly welcome and general pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. Although we only stayed a couple of nights it would have been nice to have stayed there longer.
Comfortable hotel with adequate facilities. Fantastic position overlooking Runswick Bay. Restaurant menu was on the expensive side.
Our bedroom was compact & did not represent value for money, felt considerable premium for cliff top position. Bed was too soft.
The breakfasts were nice but the same every day
To far away from Whitby towels not changed daily
We had been allocated a room without a shower but the receptionist very kindly moved us when we mentioned it. Stunning views across the bay and the staff were really friendly. Food good.
Lovely room and fabulous views, staff couldn't be more helpful.
Not enough variety on food for non fish eaters.
The view from our bedroom and balcony was stunning. The room overall was fairly well furnished and well equipped.
There was no decaffinated tea at breakfast and no decaffinated tea/coffee or fresh milk in the bedroom.
we loved the room and view and the staff were extremely nice. also breakfast was very good plenty of it and very hot.
the only downfall was a very limited restaurant menu and very pricey
